Captive bead rings are a great basic piece of jewelry and can be used with most piercings. These are open rings with a dimpled ball for closure. The ball is held in by tension and easily snaps into place. With the heavier gauges, tools may be needed to remove and insert the ball.

Captive bead rings come in gauges 20G through 00G with diameters of 1/4" to 5/8" or larger.
